    Hi
I put a small load of mattress covers on wool wash. The machine filled but the drum wouldn’t turn although it sounded as though something was trying to turn it. Tried to get the lid off but only got as far as the two screws on the side.
Is this likely to be the belt and if so

    is it difficult to replace,
where can I get the part
and how do I get the lid off
    Thanks

Carbon brushes worn, motor failure, possibly the belt, bearing failure causing the belt to come off, damaged wiring….

Any number of possibles I’m afraid.

Check the repairs@ link below for an engineer to sort for you 😀

    Dave.

If it is is the Carbon brushes that are worn, then it’s a 10 minute repair once you have replacement parts to fit… and if you’re half-way competent. Costs under £15 as a DIY job

    Hi

The Motor is under the wash tub on this model so not as easy as earlier machines with motor in the top of wash tub

SWITCH OFF AND UNPLUG BEFORE REMOVING ANY PANELS
