This concerns a hotpoint aquarius wma58.
When my washing machine is not in use it fills very slowly with water, takes a day or so to fill up a couple of inches in the drum. The water is clean.
I’m guessing its related to the inlet valve. Or could it be something else?
If it is the inlet valve is it straight forward to replace?
    Thanks.

If it is clean water and if you don’t get any infill if you turn the taps off overnight then it is a fill valve fault.

Your machine is a hot & cold fill machine so has two fill valves, a single hot and a double cold valve.

Not difficult to change but you need to determine which of the two valves is leaking first.

thanks – i’ll turn each one off to determine which is the issue. After yesterdays wash the drum is still dry, so i’ll have to wait until it starts malfunctioning up again!
