    Hi All,

We inherited a Hotpoint Aquarius WML560 washing machine when we moved into our house this March.

Up to now it has been working fine, but today it has developed an issue.

When we start a program (I have tried a wash and spin only), the door locks, but then nothing happens. The first light is lit and then starts flashing (see attached picture).

Searching through forums, I understand that this fault code is due to low/no water pressure. However, I have checked the hose and the water is fine!

Has anyone else seen this issue? Could anyone suggest any steps to take to try and fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help
    Jonny

What happens if you set it to programme B or C?

Could be a faulty water inlet valve or poor connections between main pcb and valves.

    Thanks for you reply Iadom.

With both programs B (Spin) and C (Pump Out) the lights come on, but nothing happens.
I guess B/C don’t require any water so most likely the main PCB needs replacing?
I understand the Hotpoint give free parts for 5 years, but as the washing machine came with the house, I don’t have any proof of purchase (I don’t even know how old it actually is). Will give them a call and see if I can get it for free.
Are they easy to change out?

They will not give you anything, they would expect you to pay around £120+ for their engineer to visit, even it it was yours from new.

I would be checking the motor brushes first. 😉
