Hotpoint BC20 Pump runs after end of cycle.

This is an odd fault I’ve not come across before;

When the program has finished the pump continues to run even when the door is opened.

If a new program is selected the pump continues for about 30 seconds, stops and the machine fills as required and runs through the cycle.

The base is dry.

The sump to matrix hose is clean as is the float/pressure chamber assy.

I have filled this machine with the side panel off I don’t know how many times and everything appears OK.

The fault is intermittent, according to the customer it failed 8 out of 23 times.

The closest I have seen to this in the past is when the pump runs continually caused by a control board fault but it doesn’t stop when a new program has started.

Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.
