ParticipantI want to check & replace simmerstat/grill regulator, which I understand sits behind the grill heat control dial.
But, how do I access this – is there an easy way to get at this ?
Thanks. MW

How do you intend to check it, what is your actual fault ?
The oven will have to come out of its housing, all of the knobs and buttons removed and the glass facia. The switch is accessed from behind at the top.
Be sure to isolate from the mains before you attempt this.

Thanks for response.
The problem is that both grill elements in the top oven are not heating when used as grill (whether on half or full setting) – yet the 2 elements both heat up when the top oven is used as an oven. So it does not appear to be an element fault.
Suspect problem with grill control/regulator (1-6 dial) or main selector control (used to select oven use, temperature, or grill full/half use)
An electrician friend is helping me and intends to use a multimeter to test grill regulator first.

By coincidence I have exactly the same oven. I had to change my grill regulator a while back. mine was staying on full when set to 1 or 2.
Sounds like the main selector switch TBH.
The regulator is part number 6204034, selector switch is 6201720.
Both can be obtained by sending an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

Slight delay on fixing this – due to becoming a grandfather.
Anyway, it was a faulty Simmertstat/energy regulator, now replaced and problem solved, the grill works fine now.
It was fairly straightforward when you know how to get at it – the help on this board was really useful.
Thanks again for interest & advice.
