Hotpoint BD32 built in oven/grill no btm oven control

Hi there new to this so please bear with me, btm oven runs too hot doesnt seem to be controled, When you turn the oven on the light on the control panel does not illuminate.The oven heats up but you can not control the heat.

if an oven runs too hot most of the time its the thermostat thats failed.

I thought that might be the case,its just with the light not being lit on the control panel that threw me. Thanks

sounds a bit odd to me as well but there is not a lot else

ordered new stat so hopefully that will be it thanks for help
