After just 6 months use of this oven, the “special coating” on the inner glass has developed some stains which just don’t wash off. Attacking them with steel wool or detergent is probably going to create a warranty issue. Seems to me that there has been some chemical reaction between the grease which has leaked onto the inner surface and the heat reflective layer. There’s no effective seal, so grease staining is inevitable.
Has anybody else run into this one? Is this a design scew-up?

I suspect we’ve hit this snag ahead of most. My wife likes cooking!

Not sute about this ‘special coating’ but have you tried a scraper as used on ceramic hobs. Basicly a blade with a handle which is very effective on hobs.

Thanks for swift response and suggestion. I use this type of scraper on our ceramic hob. I was reluctant to attack this inner glass surface of the oven door “coated with a heat reflective layer” with a scraper until I understood what the coating was. The instruction manual that came with the oven is suitably vague on how to clean the surface but does state: “Do not use scouring pads or abrasive powder, which will scratch the glass”. This sort of suggests that it will scratch easily? All those in favor of me attacking it with a scraper, raise your right hand! 😉

I have one of these and have had no problem, I know i might be stating the obvious – but you tried removing the glass and giving both sides a good clean
