ParticipantCan anyone help with this one ? (I hate integrated DWs!!!)…
Hotpoint intergrated dishwasher Model BF162 (S/N BF162 257 10626)
(All pgms) Starts up, fills, then aborts pgm and pumps out. The 2nd indicator light flashes. That’s all.Leave it off for a while, switch on and start a pgm, and the whole process repeats.
Motor is not seized, we changed the motor capacitor, pressostat not blocked, not flooding (base float flood switch is OK, base pan is dry) water is entering the wash pan OK, water softener not blocked.
Any ideas, and the fault codes for this machine, would be greatly appreciated. Maybe it’s just the PCB, but maybe not. (We have not checked the motor for S/C or O/C (its hard to get at it))

Heater circuit, I think.

Not so sure about the heater Chris. I would go for a fill problem.
Perhaps the pressure switch?

Be the heater prob’ly down to earth, you will find inlet valve faults more than 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} time are heater related.

Yep.. I stand corrected.
It always amazes me when these heaters fail. It always throws me.

Thanks for your help on this folks.
Sorry if I sound dim, but why would a heater fault cause the machine (after filling) to suddenly abort the pgm and pump out?
I’d have thought this would just be the preparatory rinse, and the heater not in circuit yet.
(Does 2nd light flashing indicate a code, or is it just end-of-pgm?)
Cheers

You were all right, as usual!
The heater is open circuit.
Many thanks
