My Hotpoint BF32 just “died” in mid wash cycle – no power at all, neon tell-tale dead. Checked obvious fuse in plug – OK and a quick meter test showed mains reaching on/off + programme selector switch top right of panel ( brown wire) . It stopped at the stage where the detergent dispenser had opened so must have heated up OK (only discovered this next morning when it would have had several hours to cool anyway. Water still in machine (though emptied now by hand).
What other sensors on the M/C would cause this?

The door switch is the most likely culprit 😉

Power off when checking please :zap:

Other possible cause could be door switch, or breaks in the harness near the hinge, after that you really need a wiring diagram, something that you will not be able to obtain by legitamate means. 😥

The heater comes on just after the dispenser opens so it may not have heated the water.

    Live testing not recommended 😉
