Have a hotpoint BFi162 that is showing lights 1 & 2 flashing after a Full and Medium Cycle and the bottom of the dishwasher will be full of water (about an inch)

What I have noted so far:

Rinse Mode (Far right 4th setting)- Will rinse and pump out fine.

Rapid Mode (3rd setting) – Will wash and pump out fine.

Medium Wash (2nd setting) – Will wash and clean fine but fails to pump AFTER drying stage (you can hear it pumping between the different stages, just not after drying. And when drying the dishwasher does seem to get up to temperature – very hot inside)

Full Wash (1st setting) – Same as above

So, the fault looks like it is when it gets to the end of a drying cycle it is “forgetting” to move onto the final pump out. The dishes are clean when the wash finishes, the water in the bottom is clean, you can hear it pumping between the stages of a wash and if you reset the fault (by powering off the dishwasher for 30 mins) and start a new cycle it happily drains the water in the base away.

So, I don’t think this is a pump problem – maybe a logic board or sensor?

    Anyone any ideas?

    Cheers

It sounds like a logic error, therefore pcb. Not too expensive, but there are two – serial number need to identify.

    S/N is BFI62 25705960

How hard is it to replace the logic board? Are repair manuals available?

    Cheers

Sorry, Bob – missed you reply.

It should be THIS ONE. Be very sure that you want to do this, as electronic components are not returnable under any circumstances.

You’ll need to drop the decor door off, then unscrew the control panel for access. Power off, of course.
