    Hello all,

Wonder if anyone can tell me what the 1st indicator light on the left flashing means?? And how to fix it.

Trying to get anything out of Hotpoint is harder than getting the Queens mobile No!!

    Thanks

It suggests that you have a flooded base. Your machine may have a leak or it may have overflowed due to using 3 in 1, 4 in 1 or even 5 in 1 tablets.

    Useful info here. http://tinyurl.com/y7vqyu

If you pull the machine out and place a few large towels on the floor then tilt the machine you may well find water running out from underneath. If the machine then works perfectly you need to change your detergents, if it fails again the next time you use it you have an internal leak that must be investigated, with the plug removed of course.

    BTW, its 07998 587953 😉

Job done, sorted. Thanks for your help.

Looks like I’d loosened the salt bottle when I filled it with salt. The seal leaked and triggered a float sensor in the water tray!!

    I’m now a fully qualified dishwasher engineer….. 😆

I did once spend two weeks at an Army Cadet camp there, at the exact time that Marilyn Monroe was found dead.
    A long time ago 😥

2+4 suggests heater fault, heater failure itself very common, can aslo be PCB.
