Hotpoint BHWM149UK washer dryer fault

Hello
We have an issue with a Hotpoint built in washer dryer BHWM149UK.
The program starts, does the main wash and sometimes gets stuck on rinse with all LEDs flashing and the door interlock will constantly lock and unlock.
Can sometimes use the machine without any fault at all.
Any ideas guys?

Iffy motor plug contacts a possibility, I have often cut off the pathetic plug that is fitted and replaced with suitably insulated AMP tags.
