could be the solenoid on the water valve or the thermisor.

How has she come to this conclusion?
Please remember the customers diagnosis of whats happening as to a fault can very often be misguiding until u actually get to the job yourself only to discover its something completely different.

If her clothes are coming out with big dirty burn holes in i guess shes spot on, best go check it out first, may need no parts?

is a perminent supply to the heater after 10 min you cant touch the drum?
is there a way to test the thermistor?

Thermistor is an NTC (Negative Temperature Co-efficient) device. It will give a reading in kOhms, which will fall as the device warms up.

If you get really stuck, send it to us for a same-day test (include a note of the fault) for £5+vat inc return post. Could be a welded heater relay or corrupted chip. Tony http://www.emwelec.co.uk
