Been all over google trying to find this, but failed, but as this seemed to be the most knowlegable forum out of the lot (by far) I thought I’d join up and make a post! My mums hotpoint bwd129 has error lights 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 flashing. This, of course, is assuming I’ve got the lights identified correctly, 1-4 on the left row, 5-8 on the right? Bottom left is lit up, and all the right hand lights (also the door locked light)… Hope that’s clear? 😀
Could anyone please tell me what this fault is? I have already drained the machine via the filter, and cleared that out (couple of coins) and I have checked the drain hose which is clear.

Oh, and apologies if this has been covered, I have searched and couldn’t find it. As a previous forum admin, I know how annoying it is when people ask the same questions over and over so I did the best I could to look first! 🙂

Error codes are given by flashing the four function light buttons. If all four of the right hand vertical buttons are flashing then the fault is F15, heater relay contacts welded. In other words the main PCB is goosed. 🙁

The water was boiling on a 40 degree wash, forgot to mention that. Going off your reply, I’d suggest that is probably the right diagnosis! Joy! LOL

Should have added that F15 is the dryer heater relay faulty. 😉
