Hi, I have a Hotpoint BWD129 washer/dryer which, regardless of programme, flips onto the dryer cycle when I don’t want it to. The washing/dryer came with the house and worked for a few years but over the past year or two it seems to continue onto a dryer cycle even without me programming it to. I’ve never used the dryer as I prefer my clothes to dry on the line therefore I have never programmed it to come on. It used to happen sporadically, but didn’t seem dependent on the wash programme – now it seems to happen every time I put a wash on which is really frustrating.
Is there anything I can try to re-programme the machine or is there something internal which is making it move directly to the drying programme? Any ideas to stop this would be greatly appreciated
