Hotpoint BWD129 Washer/Dryer Stops on Programme G

We have a BWD129 Washer Dryer that stops on RINSE when using programme “G”. It will not recommence until you press the start button. There are NO error indicators other than the RINSE LED flashing.

We had an engineer out to look at this and said it needed replacing. We’ve had the replacement and this has the same problem.

Does anybody know what this is or experiencing the same problem. It does however work completely on Programme “D”. We’re baffled and at the moment so are Hotpoint.

worth checking that the drain hose isn’t to low. the g programme may have a higher fill level than the d programme. (the drain hose being to low or to far down the house drain pipe causes syphoning of the water.)

Thanks for the info; The kitchen installers did apparently fit the pipe too low in the first case (engineer didn’t notice this), but an engineer has fitted the second. I’ll strip it out and have a look

make sure the outlet rises up high before it enters the sink outlet, where did they get the 1st engineer from who replaced the machine???
