Hotpoint BWM12 leaking.

Hotpoint BWM12 integrated washer drier. 23704550.

This machine leaks from the dispenser when filling. (It has the quadrant type pivoting soap drawer). The water emerges from the dispenser where the hinge pin fits into the fascia; it’s not a huge amount, but enough to trickle down the front of the machine. I have cleaned the drawer and the jets, but I’ve noticed that the water comes up and over the front of the dispenser regardless of the level of water pressure coming through the jets. The soap hose is clear.
I have had a few LG’s with dispenser problems; anyone had a similar fault as this on one of these machines?

I’ve had an Ariston version of the same model that leaked from the soap dispenser but on spin, not fill, as the filter was choked.

Thanks, Phidom – this is a really strange one. 😕 I can’t think it can be anything else but a dispenser unit, but like the LG machines, neither show any obvious signs of failure. Turning the water pressure up or down makes little difference.
Any other thoughts please?

Hi Steve,
Got the same prob with a Hotpoint/Ariston leaking swivel dispenser, had it out and checked for blockages but to all intent purposes looks fine.

Did you ever get this resolved?, or anyone else have this prob.

Changed the dispenser and it didn’t leak on test; come to think of it, didn’t hear anything more……so I have to assume it cured it.
