Hotpoint bwm129 built in door seal

Hi have been out to above machine Hotpoint bwm129 to fit new door seal, the original seal is held in place by a thick wire and hook, does this require a special tool to replace ? Also there seems to be two seals for this model the other uses a sprung ring, could this be fitted to the other type of seal instead of the hook type or could I change the seal and clamp?

There not interchangeable mate. No special tool and they are a bit of a pig to fit. Just put clamp around seal link together and then lever over the seal.

There is a tool a modified pair of pliers i dont know if they are still available even with them its stil a fiddly job.

Qualtex do a set of 45 degree QUAMIS205 but I have borrowed a set from b@ q before and returned undamaged 😯 😯
