ModeratorThis wonderful pile of Indesit rubbish has a crack in the bottom of the cabinet where one of the suspension struts locates.
Is there a repair kit for this, cannot find any info from my usual sources.
And before anyone suggests it I am not about to start welding it. 😛
Jim.

You’re possibly witnessing the first stage in the run-up to the drum E-X-P-L-O-D-I-N-G..!!!! :eeek: 😈

Doubt it Martin, this one is an integrated, ( paper thin ) stainless steel outer drum model.
It is actually free standing, dumbo kitchen fitters left the worktops so low that it is the only machine they can get to fit underneath with the feet fully screwed up. :rolls:

its not a bad price for the cabinate, and not much more work than a tub change to do it, has it got the indesit type of fixing nut for the suspension as there was a kit available for them.

Thanks for that Bob, it has a very small nut & washer underneath, I had a feeling that I had read about a repair kit but the ridge in the cabinet base on these is not very wide and has several holes in front of the suspension unit making the whole thing even weaker.
Not sure if it is the ‘Indesit’ type fixing, never had cause to look that closely as most have been binned for other reasons long before the base cracked. 🙁
You don’t happen to have a part number for said kit do you?

thats the indesit cabinate, the suspension legs used to come with u shaped brackets that covered the holes in the base and added strength to the nut fixing, i dont have the part number but will ask and reply if i find it.
