    Hi Folks.

    Went to one of these wonders today to fit Door gasket. Struggled for hour and a half with the “clip over” gasket retainer and gave up , going back to it tomorrow.

    Do Hotpoint engineers have a special tool for this job or is it down to technique?.

    Anyone got any helpful hints on this one?

    I use a skinny tyrap to draw the ends close, then internal circlip pliers to slip the ends together.

    Zanussi gaiter spring works very well instead if you really can’t do it.
