hotpoint condenser

Model ctd00p.The drum keeps comeing off the front drum support wheel.The result is the drum then scrapes on the back.The drum only just sits on the wheels and it seems a design problem.Looking on connections website for spares for this model ,Part number 5045171485091 says condensor bearing kit replacing drum support wheels.Can anyone please tell me about fitting,and is this to solve the problem etc.

This kit has been available for some time, make sure you fit the new rear felt seal ( its thicker ) and put one or two washers between the back of the cabinet and the drum, kit includes the old style, reliable bearing pads, I think its called progress. 😥

Thanks,will this solve the problem of drum hiting the back.This dryer i have the problem with comes off one of the front wheels,so the drum slightly twists,causing it to rub on the back panel.It only just sits on front wheels,and allways has done ,by the marks on the wheels.It will not go forward enough to sit fully on wheels.,so slips,causing slight twist.Very weak cabinet support.

the part number you gave is for vtd,not ctd.the kit for my part number says replaces drum support wheels.How does it replace.Is there fitting instructions.Thanks

It’s the front duct assembly, with skids instead of wheels.

It should come with full instructions, it is fairly simple if a bit fiddly to do.

Alternative is a 1703723 conversion kit, possibly has a different front duct seal, the bits at the back and the pads are the same.
