    Hello Experts,
Perhaps a foolhardy thing i’ve done but in my possession is a less than 2yr dryer, the power on light comes on but so do the empty water light and the inside lint filter clean light so thats the top 2 lights above start button, i’ve cleaned the water pump and lint filter, but now my arthritis is playing up bigstyle in my hands [IMG2=JSON]{“data-align”:”none”,”data-size”:”full”,”src”:”https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/forums/core/core/images/smilies/wave.gif”}[/IMG2] , can anyone assist me in what it maybe ?

    Thanks in advance

Hi Dave, so it has 3 stats in a row 2 flat disc ones and the the one with a spike type probe on it I presume that’s the one your saying check, multimeter says no continuity on that one but ok on the other two, so is that likely to be the issue?

one of those stats is an NTC which is a resistor that changes with temp

if you look for a higher resistance reading then you will find its ok

the other 2 you say you get zero ohms or there abouts which means ok

the next thing to look at is continuity of the element itself and the float in the pump chamber to make sure its not stuck or it may be full of water and cant pump it up

Used the multimeter on lowest ohm setting the two flat stats have the same low reading which I take to mean continuity i.e. Ok? The other one with The point probe the mm didn’t register anything am I doing understanding it right? I’ll check the element for continuity tomorrow
and cleaned the pump area was pretty good anyway as dryer Less than 2yrs old
