Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer sutcd 97 b model error f03

Had this tue dryer for a few months now everything was working fine. And one day it just flashed up this code on the screen
F 03 which would indicate it the front thermistor. According to hotpoint website. But I have since heard this code may not be pointing to my machine.

After a couple of min i can hear a relay click

But refuse to get hot

Odd thing is that I have took the side of found this thermistor and if i trick it with an hairdryer this fault does not show up . But element does not get hot. I have removed element and applied 30 volts to it and it get hot
So it baffled me.

Do these get hot straight the way as never really took any notice. I’ve always loaded it and let it do it job
Any help will me much appreciated
