Hotpoint condensor, lights on won’t turn.

Hi there, I have a Hotpoint Ultima Tdc60 condensor dryer. I opened the door to a load of half dried washing and pressed start to dry it again. The lights came on like it was trying to turn but was struggling. I took the top off and tried to force the drum to move, but then I heard something pop and die at the top right hand corner – where the bulk of electronic gumf is. Anyone got any ideas what was wrong? And have I made it worse? ???? I really want to fix this myself because Im a mum of three and cannot afford a new one.

Unplug machine then check that “electronic gumf” to see if it’s black and charred inside?………
