I went to fit a fan motor today to a Belling 652BL cooker. Between the motor and oven back is an asbestos insulation pad. The pad is crumbling away and coroded. So should I

    Replace it?

    Can I leave it off?

Should I be wearing a mask and gloves?

    Thanks

    Graham

I would and (IIRC?) then THIS is the replacement you need.

    Thanks Martin
The replacement one in the picture doesn’t look like it’s made of asbestos. So I will have to get a couple
    Thanks again
