i had a look at this and the pump is running constantly , is that right ? even when the float switch is activated ? i see that it is meant to send a signal to the heater elements to stop heating , not on this one , customer sayes it used to be housed in a tight cupboard and a lot of condensation would be on the walls ! when the switch is activated the main rcd trips after about 30 seconds anyone come across this i see posts about elements getting wet ? this one looks fine , or is the damage done , and why is it only tripping when the switch is activated cheers guys
Re: hotpoint ctd 00 tripping when the float switch is activ
Pump does run all the time, as you mention, the float switch cuts out the heater and switches on the ‘Empty Water’ light. The float is only supposed to rise when the top water container gets full and overflows back into the float chamber.
