So how do you stop water building up within the heater cover on a CTD00?!

    Hi Phil

This is commonly the pump failing.

It will work fine when you test it but through full dryinmg time they fail.

Replace the pump, it comes as a kit complete around £28:00

    Cheers

    Hi

Some of these did have a modified rear cover with a drilled hole and a felt pad on the outside. The Hotpoint guys will tell you more.
A bit heath Robinson but what do you expect…..

The pump was actually replaced beginning of the year so wouldn’t be expecting any problems there but then again it’s Hotpoint. I found one reference online to a modified cover plate yet the parts illustration I have seems to show an identical item to that already fitted, ie no hole or pad. Think I’ll wait to see if there is any reoccurrence!
