C00113847 but also you may need C00113854 Door Microswitch & Lever that are usually the cause of the m/c not turning on. 😉

Thanks Martin. It starts every time with a screwdriver but I suppose it may be that the switch has moved back a bit, preventing the pin from always reaching it.

The plastic microswitch operating arm and the way it pivots on the switch assy is the usual source of weakness.

There are 2 springs on the sw kit if you stretch the small one or find another slightlty stronger usualy does the trick, aslo put a screw between the 2 locating tabs as the sw’s were getting pushed inside and not operating. jj

Thanks for the tips, jj. I often do minor mods to overcome design shortcomings. Much more satisfying than simply screwing in a new naff part to replace the old naff part.

    Re: Hotpoint CTD00G Door Pin

Had another one of these machines but this time the door would not stay shut. I fitted a new door catch, C00098235 but it still would not shut. I ended up modifying the part on the door as the new catch was a different design to the old one. There was a square depression both sides of the door hook and I cut this out with a Stanley knife to form a square hole. Has anyone else had problems fitting this part?
