Hi can anybody help me out please. The machine gives a grunting sound when the drum changes direction so am thinking front bearing pads machine still runs so customer wont let me strip it down till i get the parts have looked at the rear bearing and its ok. is there anything else it could be other than front bearing pads.
Could you please give me the part number for the pads think i will start with them anyway then see what happens i get inside it.

    Thanks Bob

depending how old it is, it could still have the wheels on the front

the kit (which contains all the front pads/seals aand a new belt) was originally part number 1703273

im sure one of the guys will give you the updated number, and id change the impellor while i was at it

the idea is to take the wheels off and replace them with front supports

other then the wheels and the fan, they arent always that noisy… unless of course the drums catching on the back panel, then it will need a new style drum with a different profile, but then your into serious money

can check that while the drums out, you can visibly see where the drums been catching.. originally, hotpoint put a sticky pad over it to try and quieten it down , but the real cure is to fit a new drum

    phew!!! hope this helps!
