Hi,
My dryer recently stopped working, no power. After investigation I have replaced the:
*Rear Drum Bearing (warn away)
*Drum Shaft (ground off)
*Thermostat cut out kit ( Thermostat with white dot open circuit)The Dryer is now up and running but I have flashing fault lights 2,3,4 (fault code 07 ??)
The washing is drying fine and I have cleaned the machine thoroughly. Can I continue to run the machine with these flashing lights?
Any thoughts much apreceated

Yes but it will not work very well, F07 is a lower element failure.

thanks for your response IADOM,
Is the “lower element failure” something I can/ should repair? and when you say will not work very well, can you elaborate?
Cheers in advance,

It will only be working on low heat if one half of the heating element is faulty. You need to megger the elements or inspect them visually, you may be able to see the break in the element, they are rather frail.
Only cure is a new element.

ah yeah cool, cheers for that.
I did notice a crack in one element when refitting. can I purchase a single element or should I go for the whole heater?
Thanks again

Can only be purchased as a complete assembly including stats and ntc. Between £50 and £52, I say between because here is the fun bit. There are four different heater assemblies used on these machines. :rolls:
If you can give us all the numbers you can find on the label inside the door we ‘may’ be able to identify the correct one.

That is a decision for you to make, as you have replaced the rear bearing and shaft then you should get a bit more life out of it, you can also carefully remove the stats from the old heater and keep them for future use.
Part number is C00258799.

We don’t seem to have that part in our store but an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should get you sorted.
Take care if you are going to Google it, I have found prices from £50 to over £80 on some spares sites. :eeek:
