Hotpoint CTD40G condensing dryer completely dead

All basic items checked. Low insulation reading of 1.25 m ohms?
Door switch, float switch, circ pump, connections, heater etc all checked.

On/off swtich dead as if no power to machine? Could it be main circuit board failure? Press switches appear ok on control panel can these play up?

One shot stat checked?

Neutral is fed through the one shot on later machines, totally dead if this is O/C. 😉

Is the one shot stat the one above the door apeture just indside front panel? That was O/C when i checked it I’m sure?

If it has gone, does that mean another problem with machine or could it be overloading?

No, the one shot is near the heater, the doofer at the front is an NTC so may appear O/C on a simple continuity test.

Testing the front NTC from the PCB connections should read 500kΩ at room temp.

There have been several changes, full serial number would help to be certain.

That does have the neutral wired through the one shot.

The kit inlcudes three stats but you only need the NTC and one shot if it only has those fitted above the heater.

The cycling stat was on originally, then taken off, then put back again. 😥
