    Hi guys,

I have read up the problem of this tumble not heating up and have taken all of the thermostats out to test.

There are 2 silver ones with a black one (differently shaped) in the middle.

Only one of the silver ones shows any continuity which I think indicates that one is ok but the other two have gone. The element checks out fine.

My question is. Should the black one show any continuity with a multimeter? This is the TOD cut out apparently?

Also I can find a heater with the thermostats for £28 (non genuine parts) and for just the thermostats £23 but these are genuine parts.

    What should I go for?

I could keep the element as a spare in case that ever goes but was concerned about genuine and non genuine ?

    Thanks

    Paul

Both the same part from same manufacturer so I think the choice an easy one 😉

So there isn’t genuine or non genuine parts?

Sorry for being dummy but are you saying go for the one with the heater as well?

    This is the one

I have noticed on the ukwhitegoods website there are two thermostat kits for different serial numbers. My serial is 706120045.

    Cheers
