ParticipantJust been to a Hotpoint CTD80 condensing tumble dryer, serial 509220336 customer has fitted a thermostat kit to it him self.
only heβs not sure he fitted them correctly as it still donβt work.F13 Rear NTC open or short circuit
I have just read on this site that the kit 1703607 that he used has three stats in it, when I had a look I could only see just the two above the heater.
He did show me the old ones and the one shot had gone and there was only two in the box. What I need to know is which stats go where and how to identify which ones which.
I know one is a white dot and its been fitted on the left as you look at it, which I believe is correct.Bernie

I can send you a wiring diagram if you like. Personally, I would run a mile from this, I am wondering what the punter has done with the wires to the missing stat or ntc. π―

Thanks for that info SDR, absolutely no mention of two stats on the latest, trade version of Partfinder that I can see, no mention of it in manual 5412719 either. π₯
Jim.
EDIT, just seen your last post. Partfinder still lists two different, 3 stat kits. One before date code 51130, 28/11/05 as a 1603607 and after that date a 1603608. Now I am confused. π π₯

just had another look on partfinder, there is a red tec bulletin on this dryer , if a heater vwith 2 stats fitted on appliance it must be replaced with a heater kit 1703245 from ser no 507120001 to 511299999 (29/11/2005) or a 1703595 from ser 511300001 (30/11/2005) to date. heater kit comes with stats fitted. hopes this makes sense. thing is if stats are ok that cust fitted it will still be module needed.
