Hotpoint CTD80 fault F15 on screen and is constant ON

Hello, I have a hotpoint CTD80P and it was tripping the house due to a heating element issue (now fixed). but now I am getting an F15 error on the screen (that is quite dim) and when the dryer door is closed, the dryer works like it on a normal cycle (heats and spins) …even if I have not turned it on.

how do I fix this? new top end PCB, or bottom side pcb, both, ect?

The main power board is faulty, expensive and needs programming.

can I not get one from another dryer that’s going to end of life? or is each main board and display board married by code?

Unless you can find one that is very near to your serial number then the chances are very remote. There are six different non interchangable versions of eeprom and the software. 😥
