Hotpoint ctd80 pump issue

Have a hotpoint ctd80 condenser dryer, not emptying
have replaced pump but still not emptying
Mains supply ok to pump, hoses checked but nit emptying
Any way to check pump is working or not

assume you mean you put power the pump direct, does it pump water then?

Yeah put the meter on the connection to the pump Dave
doesn’t empty water

so you put a meter across the 2 terminals of the pump while the machine was on and measured 240v
or
you put your meter on ohms scale an measured resistance ?

Measured the 240v

in that case the only thing it can be is either the pump or its blocked

Do you know what resistance I should get across the pump

does not say but if its under 5000 ohm its ok, or at least the coil is. Does not mean it will run as they tend to fail mechanically
