    Hi
We have a 2 year old Hotpoint CTD80 condenser dryer. Sometines it leaks water out of the top water container drawer, even if the container has been emptied before hand.

If we remove the container there is a large pudle of water in the container housing.

The pump must be working for the water to get up here in the first place.

    Any thoughts

    Thanks

Remove lid and ensure that the nozzle feeding the tank is clear, clipped into place and pointing in the right direction.

or you could just pull the clear tube off the back, and make sue its clear upwards and downwards 😉

    Hi all

Thanks for the asdvice. I have had a look and the tube is wery short (needs to be otherwise it would catch on the water container as it is pulled out). I think the problem lies with the machine being slightly off level. Having moved it it is now ok.

Shortly afterwards though (and when id left for work as I work away all week) the misus complained that the machine keeps tripping the rcd. Having read the excellent advice that members of this forum have given others with this problem I was able to diagnose the problem stright away and fix it.

Water picked up by hte motor fan and flicked up onto the heater elements.

Dired out with a cloth and a fan heater now all ok

    Thanks for the advice chaps
