Hotpoint CTD85A dryer runs for a few minutes and then displays E13 but continues to run. Prior to this error the one shot stat plus the green spot stat were o/c and the condenser clogged solid. The stats were replaced after cleaning everything of the fluff and dust. ( stat kit1701583)I have changed the stats for a second time but with the same end result. For the short period that it runs before showing the error flag it does not seem to heat up.
Advice on this problem and how to reset the error flag would be appreciated.

E13 is a rear thermistor faulty or the wiring to it is faulty,

please unplug your applaince before investigating.

    Possibly not a master fitter 😉 😀

That is the cause of your problem, totally incorrect parts fitted.

Your machine has an NTC as well as a stat, the NTC may appear to be open circuit using a simple multimeter continuity test when it is perfectly OK.

Before serial number 51130.0000 you need part number 1702790 which has a white ELTH thermistor (NTC).
After serial number 51130.0001 you need part number 1703413 which has a black TOD thermistor.
