Hotpoint CTD85A Dryer F-05 Problem

Hello I am having problems with my condenser dryer displaying the F-05 fault. I have replaced the pump which seemed to be faulty but it did not cure it. I stripped out the PCB and found a Triac with a melted pin so I have replaced that also but it still has the same fault. It is now beyond my skill level to diagnose the PCB further and need to know how I can get a replacemetn if indeed this is the cause but it does seem quite obvious. I have seen various sites selling the PCB less the eeprom so I guess this is used on different models / manufacturers machines. Do they really expect the average person to remove the old eeprom from the existing board and transfer it to the new one? It is not in a socket and would have to be desoldered. Has anyone had the F-05 and been through this process before or can offer advice with the board replacement?

nope, youll need to purchase an eprom as well.. the one on your existing board simply wont fit

as usual, the eprom depends on the sensor
does it have a metal band around the drum?

might be worth taking advantage of hotpoints £89 fixed price repair, at least then that covers you for every eventuality

f05 is ‘no feedback from the pump’ so if youve changed the pump, it has to be the pcb, im afraid

as for the pcb, check the wires back from the pump to the pcb, and check for any fried connections/tracks around that area (plug out, of course)
