It could be the stat or possibly the main oven selector switch pack. Most of the time you can see signs of damage on the contacts inside the selector switch.
Would need FULL model number and serial number to identify correct parts.
For instance it could be a BD32B, BD32B MK2, BD32B MK2 (T) or BD32B/2.
The B after 32 is a colour reference so that could be B,K,N or P which is not important.
Jim.

In that case the stat is easy to check as it’s live in and live out! No live in means its either the TOC or most likely the contacts on the rotary switch have gone AWOL.:?
HTH?

Have you made sure you have the correct one, there are a few alternatives which are not interchangable apparently. Its more likely to be the selector switch in any event. 😉

You are turning the switch pack, the thermostat is mounted on the back of the main oven switch pack.

I’ve seen it blow both but its more often the switch pack. Just checked and there are at least four different thermostats used on BD32 models. A big difference in price between them as well. 😉
I would be following Martins advice, test the stat and visually examine the switch pack and be sure to get the full model and serial number. 🙂
The controls are quite easy to get on these.
