    Please can you tell me the date of manufacture of my Hotpoint First Edition 1000 WM52P. Serial 79157571. I am trying to decide whether to have it repaired, bearings gone, or whether to buy a new one. Many thanks.

    depends on fault and if your doing it your level of skill

    Bearings have gone and I would need to get an engineer in.

    depends if you can find an engineer who can do it as bearing changes are few and far between these days
