hotpoint dc27 error code

hi everybody,

hope someone can help me with an error code for the hotpoint dc27, the machine appears to fully function until about 2-3 minutes into the wash, where it will sit boiling the water for 10 mins or so and start flashing the first two lights from the left rapidly. I think it might be the thermostat but do not want to delve into it without knowing the fault.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Paul.

“Boiling the water?” are you sure? After 10 minutes it would still be luke warm even if it were functioning correctly. The error code you mention refers to a heater fault, so the chances are with your machine after 10 mins the water would still be pretty cold? 😕

it may be longer than 10 minutes but its definately boiling the water as i can hear it boil, and when i open the door steam comes out so i thaught that it might not be sensing the temp of the water
