Hotpoint DC27 Wash light flashing

Hiya,

I’ve tried and tried and tried to find an answer on the net and have phoned hotpoint with no luck!

Was hoping someone could help – i have a Hotpoint DC27 and the machine fills for 30 seconds, then drains and then the 2nd light from the left (wash) flashes.

Does anyone know what the fault is – and just as importantly what i need to do to fix it? 😕

The solenoid valve is not working. Is it filling?
Unplug power if you are going in.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for posting.

It fills a little bit – took the top and sides off and the water comes in, up to the reservoir at the top (with some channels in it to separate the water).

Then down into the bottom. Only a little bit of water comes in – seems like there should be more.

Where would I find the solenoid? is it this (attached)? I think that it must be working as water’s coming in!
