Hotpoint DC27P Wash light Error code

Could anyone tell me why the wash light flashes during fill on a Hotpoint DC27 slim dishwasher? It goes into fault mode putting the drain pump on. There is no water in the base to trip the float, the wash pump is free to turn, the water is not slow to fill and the drain pump works. Is it the temp sensor?

Which light is this flashing please, counting the lamps from left to right ?

Fill valve failure, methinks….

Power off if checking.

In answer to Dave Conway’s equery – The second lamp from the left is flashing. The fill valve opens and the machine fills to the correct level and fault condition occurs at this point. Thank you very much for your interest in my problem with this finest piece of engineering Indesit could come up with for Hotpoint.
