I’ve got a Hotpoint DF42 dishwasher that keeps displaying E11.
I believe that it is a heater timeout.

I’ve checked the following but no luck:-

Heater element (Reads about 19 Ohms)
    Relay contacts on PCB.

It appears that the relay for the heating element isn’t being energised, I’ve measured the voltage across the relay coil when the machine is running.
I was wondering whether it could be the thermostat that is mounted on the rear of the door next to the PCB. I’ve measured it with my multimeter and it reads 28KOhms when cold.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can’t afford a new dishwasher!!

    Cheers

One place you could check, after you have removed the plug of course, is the wiring harness for breaks, down near the left hand hinge.

I’ve checked the wiring loom and it seems OK, all of my measurements were taken from the plugs that go onto the PCB.
