Hotpoint DF53 door hinge spring.

Popped in to look while passing but didn’t dismantle to look as customer said it went bang when they opened the door one day and now the door is floppy. I said I would just get a couple of springs and go back, little knowing that these springs are now fetching £15.74 + delivery each from Connect. 😯 . But now I see those bits of string are listed under the same model. So is it more likely that’s what I’ll need? And if I should find it’s the springs required after all, not the strings, is there a cheaper source?
What a rip-off. Makes me all the more inclined to recommend Beko.

Haven’t got my main PC fired up Mike, I am setting of down your way in about an hour, family wedding in St Austell so tagging a couple of days on.
I think this is a Brandt under the skin though.

I have never fitted springs to these, only ever fitted the strings, always fit both sides at the same time.

Thanks Jim. Will just order the strings then. Hope the weather improves for your trip but I think you should pack your galoshes 🙂 .
