Hotpoint DF53 – door springs

Hi Folks

Got to go to one of these soon with what sounds like the door spring has gone (door heavy) as is quite a way from me wanted to go armed with the parts..

looks like there is a door cable fitted to these, according to the parts list – is it sufficiant to go armed with the springs and cable or is there anything else I might need?

How easy is it to do on this model as have not had to do this on one of these before?

Its a Brandt, very common fault, cord snaps, only order one as they come as a pair, simple job. 1801632.

Remember to change them both, the old ones will have stretched a little.

Would have done anyway unless pig of a job – just good practice and wouldnt want to go back 2 mths later to do otherside.. Would be to embarising to charge cust twice for same job 😳
