Hotpoint df61 dishwasher not draining – water circulating???

Dishwasher is not draining.
Have checked filters, spray arms, opened outlet under filter to check thingy spinning and not blocked. Not sure how freely it should spin, but it does when I flick it round.

Opened up side of dishwasher – water appears to stop flowing before contraption with red valve in it, removed this cleaned it.

Problem remains. Emptied water from entire machine. Ran machine. It filled up, didn’t drain.
Is it still blocked? Is it possible to check below where the water goes out of under the filter but before it gets to the contraptions on the side? Although I can get a giant pipecleaner through from the side, so am not sure I’m looking for a blockage???

It’s important to refit the pump Impellor cover otherwise it still won’t drain. Also check the end of the drain hose. If that connect to a sink then that may be blocked!

By pump impellor cover do you mean the cover under the filter plate above the spining thing? I have made sure that is in place.

When disconnecting the drain hose no water comes out. Hose is connected to undersink u bend – seperate to washing machine which is draining. Will try putting something up the hose towards the dishwasher to see if there’s a blockage.

Right have threaded bike brake cable up outlet hose, might have dislodged something, drain burped!
However dishwasher won’t fill now – is there a flood device I need to check? It filled when I ran it earlier as described above.

Have tipped machine to empty baseplate – water coming in now.

Still circulating – not draining.

Outgoing water can be seen going up second (from the back) clear pipe (in see-thru four pipe device) reaches top of pipe but doesn’t make it round the ‘u-bend’ then water level drops back into machine.

So still washing dishes by hand.
