ParticipantGood Evening All,
As you will see i am new to this forum so hi to all fellow users,
My question is this, i have a Hotpoint DF61 dishwasher that has suddenly stopped letting the water in?
i have checked the main feed and this is fine, when i start a cycle the timer goes round and you can hear the water trying to get in but when you open mid cycle very little water is entering, as such items remain dirty.
I then started the cycle again and manually place water in the dishwasher and all spray arm holes were sending water out and dishes are clean, so it pumps ok, drains ok, heats ok and dries ok, but the water that is waiting at the end of the black fill pipe doesnt get to the pump?
I guess it may be the thing at the rear that has 2 spade connectors on?
plus i have no idea how to remove any panels.Sorry for lengthly post but any help will be gratefully received
regards
Craig

Clean this hose thoroughly.

Then strip and clean this chappie.

It will all come apart.
Plug out, lid, door outer, lower front panel and left hand side panel off for access.

Hi Penguin45,
Many thanks for the reply, i have yet to attempt the cleanse however may give it a go tomorrow evening :rolls:
Just a quick question is the lid clipped on or is there screws holding it in place?
Then am i right in when this is off, i take door off then bottom kick plate and finally left hand panel in this order!
thanks for assistance

Lid just needs two plastic lugs at the back pushing upwards, you don’t take the door off, just the outer panel. large plastic kickstrip needs a good ‘yank’ to pull it off.

I have just followed your intructions and sure enough the pipe was blocked as well as some debri in the plastic containers. So after a thorough cleanse all is working 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} again 😀
