    Hi
    Hotpoint LF 228 AUK

The rubber seal at the bottom of 3 year old dishwasher has started to peel away from door.
I have tried to get a replacement seal but have been informed that i need to purchase the whole inner door? Quote for this £89 can’t believe need to pay this to replace a bit of rubber 😡

I’m thinking of trying to glue the rubber back onto the metal with glue or adhesive
    Anyone tried to do this?
what glue/adhesive would be best to withstand the water and temperature
    Help would be really appreciated
    thanks

    Moved to correct forum.

There is no universally available adhesive that would last for very long in this environment .

Don’t you just love Indesit appliances. :rolls:

Could try Ambersil Jim, it might work if it’s allowed to cure properly but I wouldn’t guarantee it.

But at a little over £10 it’s got to be worth a punt over a £90 door.

Link here if you want to try it…

Don’t think it would stand the flexing K.

    🙁

£90 for a door seal just seems a little OTT.

Is the machine actually leaking when in use?
