Hotpoint Dishwasher BFI 620 Bad Leak

Been called out to this dishwasher

Original fault was that it leaking badly from door area, replaced lower door seal, tested ok.

Called back leaking again same place – water is being pushed out past the ends of the new lower door seal??

Removed to workshop, no leaks on first 2 tests and then started leaking on 3rd test run and has leaked every time since.

Have tried to reduce amout of water coming in to the dishwasher by ajusting the water level switch with no sucess as the water level seems to be controlled by flow meter.

Any Ideas???????? 🙁

Split in lower spray arm a possibility, it was quite common on the Brandt produced machines, could be the same on Indesit, sets up a wave motion inside.

If it is the curved plastic spray arm i have had them splitting and leaking, i usualy replace withe the straight metal one.

And as a temporary measure attack it with a soldering iron around the seam 😉

Thanks iadom – lower wash arm was split

Changed lower plastic curved wash arm to metal straight one of a second hand Indesit
